Eco-Friendly Ganesh Idols & Ganpati Murtis in Australia

Limited Collection Online

Over 1,000 Ganesh Murthis Available In Store at Seven Hills

Bring home a handcrafted Ganesh Murthi made with devotion, tradition, and care.

Our Ganesh Murthis are made in Pen, Maharashtra, a town known for traditional Ganpati idols for more than a century. Each idol is crafted from shadu mitti, a natural river clay that dissolves cleanly in water and is a better choice for Australian waterways and marine life.

No plaster of Paris. No chemical paints. Just natural materials, skilled craftsmanship, and tradition in every piece.

Choose from 8-inch home altar Murthis to grand 22-inch Feta Style centrepieces, including Dagdusheth, Lalbaugcha Raja, Kasba, Lambodar, and hand-draped Feta styles.

Only a limited range is shown online. Visit our Seven Hills store to explore over 1,000 Ganesh Murthis in person.

Order before Ganesh Chaturthi on Monday, 14 September 2026.

Frequently Asked Question

Face the idol north, north-east or east, in a clean space away from the bathroom and below eye level when seated. The trunk direction matters to some families — a left-curving trunk (vamamukhi) is the usual choice for household worship.
Traditionally the idol faces north or east, with the devotee facing the opposite way. Avoid placing Ganesha facing south.
For daily worship most families keep a single idol in the pooja space. Decorative Ganeshas elsewhere in the home are not counted the same way.
Visarjan. A shadu mitti idol can be immersed at home in a bucket or drum — the clay softens within hours, and the water can be poured onto a garden. Larger idols can go to a community visarjan site.
Yes. Shadu mitti is natural river clay with no plaster of Paris, gypsum or synthetic binders. It breaks down completely in water and leaves no residue — unlike PoP idols, which do not dissolve and can sit on a riverbed for years.
For an apartment or shelf altar, 8" to 12". For a family mandap in a living room, 15" to 16" is the most common choice. For a community setup or a statement installation, 18" to 22".
Absolutely. A Ganesha idol is one of the most meaningful gifts for weddings, birthdays, housewarming celebrations, business openings, anniversaries, Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi, and other special occasions. Lord Ganesha symbolizes wisdom, prosperity, protection, and success, making these idols thoughtful gifts that carry spiritual significance and lasting value for family, friends, and colleagues.
Choose a Ganesha idol based on where you plan to display it. Smaller idols are ideal for home mandirs, office desks, bookshelves, and apartments, while medium and large idols create stunning focal points in living rooms, entrances, and meditation spaces. Consider the available space and your personal preference when selecting the perfect size for your home or workspace.
Yes. Eco-friendly Ganesha idols made from natural clay, biodegradable materials, and plant-based colors are increasingly popular, especially during Ganesh Chaturthi. These idols dissolve safely in water without harming the environment, making them a sustainable choice for environmentally conscious families who want to celebrate festivals while protecting nature.
Yes, you can keep multiple Ganesha idols at home. Many families display different idols in various rooms such as the mandir, living room, entrance, and office space. Each idol can serve a different purpose, whether for daily worship, festive decoration, or as a meaningful gift. The key is to treat each idol with respect and maintain a clean, peaceful environment around them.
