The pheta rises in a double fan pinned with a gold finial and banded in crystal; the shawl and dhoti follow in the same deep plum, scattered with small gold flowers. The posture is relaxed, weight tipped to one side, one hand raised with an Om on the palm, a turquoise cushion under the knee.
Twenty-two inches, hand-moulded in Pen from shadu mitti. The plum tone is mixed rather than bought, so shade varies very slightly between pieces — each idol genuinely is one of one.
